LKB/LLE is on the air with new test broadcasts this week under its test and development license issued by NPT from LLE-2 (1314 kHz) and LLE-3 (5895 kHz), Morning Broadcast today Wednesday @0615-0900 UTC, and afternoon broadcast tomorrow Thursday @1500-1700 UTC. This fall, we've had semi-regular transmissions Tuesday and Wednesday mornings as well as Thursday afternoon. Especially interested in reports today and tomorrow as our CE Øystein made improvements in the modulation on MW last evening. We made a brief test on 1314 then. Especially the morse ident should travel well now. And, we are looking for the specs of our Western Electric! Our QSL card has arrived, and are being sent out, but still reports are welcome! Dear friends of shortwave radio and our station!                                                                                                             As you might have already noticed, there is some progress at the moment. Unfortunately we could not yet buy a new transmitter (thanks to RIZ for the offer, we will come back to you when we have 290.000 € left), but we could make many useful contacts. We also thank all those, who supported us after the last E-Mail with ideas and addresses of possible providers, especially Mike from around London. 

All remaining QSLs should have been sent by E-Mail during the last days. 

At the moment we are on air with the control transmitter and 1200 Watts. After German RNI was transmitted at the weekend, now we are playing some music. To all radio stations reading this mail: cheap transmitter times are available at short notice! The conditions on 49m are excellent, at night we receive reports from the east coast of America (up to now from New York and Georgia. Whoever has contacts to America/Canada, could tell the listeners over there to try receiving us. Please attach our e-mail address, as it is not always mentioned on air). The week between 24. and 30.12.2013 is already booked out.

Now what's next? In the works are: 
Stand-by-transmitter with 2500 Watts, Solid-state, Linear amp 
The 9 kW power supply (50 Volts, 170 A) is already prepared, a little reserve in the power supply is never harmful for linear amps. The transmitter is in the works. Main transmitter with xx? Watts. We are in the proceedings, we hope it will work until middle of December. 
Antenna: The existing antenna should be okay for 20 kW, but a new coax wire and balun are required. The wire is already here, the balun finished, but not yet tested. When the time has come we will be off air for some time. Stand-by-antenna Is in place, has to be installed. For that we need the balun which is presently in use in the main antenna. 

One request: As you might have seen, we have some ads on our website www.channel292.de
It would be nice if you click them from time to time. 
The name Radio6150 is of course not appropriate for 6070 kHz, anyhow it was only for testing purposes. The whole project will be named Channel 292, maybe some still have an old QSL. The new web page is www.channel292.de 
the new E-Mail is info@channel292.de The existing website will be changed bit by bit, but it is still accessible just like the old mail address. 

One more Appeal: When you listen to our station, please send us a short assessment of the modulation quality, especially: Frequency range (bass/treble present?) Volume (especially compared to other 49m stations) Your total opinion of the modulation.

In the morning from ca. 7 to 9 am CEST / 5 to 7 am UTC the signal can usually be received very strong and undisturbed. Thanks!

Tests de LKB/LLE, Noruega

L'emissora noruega KLB/LLE farà nous tests al llarg d'aquesta tardor en ona mitjana i curta. Aquesta és la informació rebuda de l'emissora:

Announcing test transmissions autumn 2013 from LKB/LLE Bergen Kringkaster*) broadcasting from Erdal, Norway(Coordinates: 60°26 56,728 N 5°12 59,206 E):

LLE-2 MW 1314 kHz(AM)running about 80 watts(to be increased, from 15 metres Comrod, other antennas may also be used) and LLE-3 SW 5895 kHz(USB)running about 50 watts(to be increased, from inverted "V" for 49 m band) usually Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at sunrise Tue/Wed and sunset Thur on MW/SW.  Some days SW may be run all day until @2100 UTC. Dual IDs may be expected.
